Reflection

Emotions carry important information. They signal what matters, where something feels off, and when a boundary may be needed.

But emotions are not instructions.

Without regulation, emotions can quickly become drivers of behavior. We react instead of reflect. We act on intensity rather than insight.

When you regulate first, you create space between feeling and action. In that space, emotional information becomes useful rather than overwhelming.

You can listen to what the emotion is telling you without allowing it to dictate your response.

Regulation transforms emotion from a command into data.

Truth Check-In

Intensity does not always equal accuracy.

SPARK Question

What might this emotion be trying to show me?

Ignite Prompt

The next time you feel a strong emotional reaction:

Name the emotion you are experiencing.

Rate the intensity on a scale from one to ten.

Allow yourself time to regulate before deciding how to respond.

Often, once intensity lowers, clarity increases.

Mini Mantra

I honor the signal. I choose the response.

Use This SPARK When…

You feel rejected.

You feel overlooked.

You feel the urge to withdraw, retaliate, or shut down.
